And having god fun with Arcgis installation.
All things went right till installation.
But after installation it comes to open web mapping application & Just Press F5 and got the Error.
Failed to start monitoring changes to [path]/Global.asax
At first stage i thought it was security issue. After goggling half hour i found this KB on microsoft site . I tried all three solutions but no joy.
As i am having admin right to my PC. I thought it must be something else.
I searched for ASPNET user in windows 7 but not able to find one.
1 hr more search given me some steps to follow from mandown,geo.geek.nz
Which has good link to ESRI resource on setting IIS on windows vista/7
Also resource for configure IIS and .NET to run on 32-but mode
I tried both approach but still no luck.
After some more search finally i found the solution at microsoft connect.
In the work around of this BUG at microsoft connect i just found solution.
Its just simple : Run visual studio as Administrator
and its done.
After 4 hrs of struggling i succeed.
After that i found the there is new user rights settings in Windows 7. I was having admin rights but all the application was not running with the same privilege.
So, when i run as Administrator it worked successfully.
I hope this will help someone new who is trying Arcgis on Windows 7.
